What is PTA?

PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children." 


At SFMS, we:  

  • provide programs and support that enhance the educational curriculum
  • advocate for the education and well being of every student
  • support diversity in our school and community
  • promote a partnership between teachers and families to enrich the educational experience for all.

What does PTA do at SFMS?

These are just a few of the many roles SFMS PTA plays at our school:  


Veteran's Day celebration, Multicultural Festival, Staff Appreciation, School Dances, financially support Fine Arts and Athletics, aesthetic and environmental improvements to the school, professional staff development, school supplies, provide agendas for every student at no cost, 8th grade celebration, educational materials and technology, communication and school spirit - including spirit wear, Reflections program, Odyssey of the Mind...

Who can join PTA?

EVERYONE can join PTA in support of our school - parents, grandparents, siblings over the age of 14, educators, community members, neighbors, etc. SFMS PTA strives to positively impact and enrich the lives of our students, staff and families.
